Getting Settled on Monday Afternoon

All is well here in the mountains. We had an uneventful trip up to camp. The trip took just under 3 hours. After a quick lunch in the dining hall, the kids met with their daytime field groups for the afternoon. We had a surprisingly full afternoon, as all the field groups went off on a short hike to get oriented with the area. They even hugged a few trees, tasted a plant or two, and learned a little about the Native Americans of the region.

As it cools off this evening we're preparing for an early campfire, then a nocturnal lesson and night hike.
